Dr. Emily Jewell, DVM

  • Grew up in Assumption, IL
  • Married her high school sweetheart, Chris, who works as a project manager at Cordelio
  • Moved to Rochester in 2011
  • Opened The Pet Doctor in 2021

Relief Veterinarian

  • Grew up in Taylorville
  • Her family includes her husband Stan, son Davis, and daughter Mae
  • Enjoys coaching her daughter's basketball team in her "spare time"
  • Excels in both medicine and surgery
  • Loves to participate in our jokes and shenanigans here at The Pet Doctor

Veterinary Assistant / Manager in Training

  • Started working in veterinary medicine in 2018
  • She and her partner, Jacee, live in Mt. Pulaski
  • They have 2 rescue pigeons, Nanba and Midori, and a rescue starling, Bruno
  • In her free time she enjoys the outdoors, antiquing, and trying new coffee shops

  • Loves to bake and "nest"
  • Fall is her favorite — harvest, the smells, and a sharpness in the air
  • Has 1 dog and 1 cat
  • Loves chickens and has shown several different types of farm animals
  • Would love to travel to western Alaska someday
